RECM: Follow your conviction
People & history

A small firm,
on purpose.

RECM has never needed to be large. Decisions are made by the people who live with their consequences, and the firm has repeatedly given away activities that were better run by their own dedicated teams.

Joined a few years after founding

Joined RECM in its early years and has been central to the shape the group has taken since, the private client business, the combination of the public fund business, and the funds through which the group now invests across the capital structure.

How we work

Few people, long tenures, and no committee between an idea and a decision. Research is done by the people who will own the position.

Where an activity outgrows us, we give it a dedicated management team rather than dilute our attention, which is how Merchant West Investments came to be run independently.

Our own capital sits in the funds we manage. We eat what we cook.

The people are the process. Meet them.
